JJ to replace Caan in "Las Vegas"
    NBC News
    April 11, 2008
    10:53AM

Las Vegas, the ever popular casino drama, will be taking a new direction next season. Derion Johnson, executive producer, says he will be doing away with James Caan and replacing him with relatively unknown Hank (Hanky) W. Webber Jr.

Webber's previous experience is in the betting industry, but has recently taken the world by storm with his forays into independent YouTube acting. Critics consider his playing the role of a defeatist degenerate gambler not to be one of acting, but rather a depiction of his actual life. Others claim Webber's genius is the cause for the realistic depiction of degeneracy.

Viewers previously accustomed to Caan's swashbuckling, hard punching style of running the Montecito will not be disappointed with his replacement by Webber Jr. Several new episodes will be dedicated to showcasing Webber's training methods and charm to convince the viewer that he is a tough guy. Specially made cabinets have been brought in to facilitate his training. Webber's own personal experience with loan sharks who stole his hair will be used as the catalyst for developing his anger towards the world, and more specifically, someone known only as "Compact Dork".

Webber was not available to comment in depth, but did say that the stint "would not compare to the operation [he's] got going on at the moment, but would allow him to showcase his jumpsuite [sic] collection to American viewers."
