    O.T. Disc Golf.... anyone play?
I am a huge disc golf fan and started to play 2 summers ago. For those who havent heard of it, its basically the same thing as real golf but instead you throw a frisbee like disc. Not a real frisbee but its a little smaller than that and is plastic/rubber. There are a couple courses by me 1 is real hard and 1 is pretty easy. I like to play at both of them though. Just curious if anyone else plays at all? I played today shot 2 over par

This is weird but I've thought for about the last 4 month trying that, but I don't even fukin know how you play it. Do you just get a frisbee and try to hit it into these buckets with chains or I heard there's like fukin special disks like drivers and putters and shit that you have to buy. I mean if it's just 5 bucks for a frisbee I'll try it but if I gotta invest like a 100 bucks just to try it I'm out. I guess it's a course in the park in my town and its free so I guess if u tell ur gf u want to take her golfing u can save alot of money by it being disc golfing and shed prolly have more fun than just missing a golf ball over and over and the ppl behind u screamin at ya to let them play through every hole.

          I love it!

Some courses are designed for "diskers/joggers" where you can run the course. I like these a lot.

I never got into specialized disks - I always used a standard heavy Frisbee. I got pretty good at it though - I could play a course at par.

You can get a cheap beginner disc for like $5-7 something like that. The nicer discs with better material which lets the disc go further and stuff cost $14-$20 or so. It is a lot of fun and decent exercise if you need an excuse to start getting more active. Good to see some of you guys playing. Im not a stoner/hippie although a lot of stoners/hippies do play. I do smoke but I am more of a prep/jock that just enjoys the game because im horrible at real golf

How far do I need the disc to go when I pass by the park it only looks like 50 yds or so, I mean I'm not fukin disc champ but I think I could get a frisbee to go that far without juicin up.

Yeah I mean you can play with a normal frisbee if you want, but there are some courses by me that have some 400ft and longer holes. So you would want to get a real disc specifically for disc golf.

Too expensive, I'll take over the disc golf world with this frisbee I got in a gift bag at a golf tourney 10 yrs ago, it's got Subway written on it and you'll prolly see it on the cover of Disc Golf Illustrated and say I knew that guy back when

The town that i live in, St. Thomas, is huge for disc golf. We have 3 courses. This will be my 3rd year playing. I throw tomahawk style mostly. I think it's because i can get distance, and because i use the same type of throw as in baseball.

yea I use the tomahawk for certain type of throws. If there is a lot of trees or a really tough shot I will go with the tomahawk
