something in one of millman's column says the nevada gaming rules require all props to be something you can check in a box score so I'm guessing they don't have that one.

Everyone I know that timed it when it happened said they got 1:53. Wish I had DVR'd it. I have a +175 BM loss and a still ungraded bet at Sportsbook.

From start to finish of "Brave" was 1:53. Under should be winner. But if the "Ho" is added, then 1:54.5 and over is winner.

I didn't play this, but I will have to say that I specifically didn't play for this reason: It is so hard to get a standard across the industry on how long it was. (ie. ESPN/TSN/etc doesn't post this information like they do with other measurements like total running yards).

There are too many unknowns and the books use no more than 3 sentences to come up with their own "rules". It needs to be a fully-fledged explanation right down to the video link on which site they will use to make the judging. Some books differ on their decisions, but then again they have different rules (ie. will "woo-ooo" count?).

The sad part is that this happens EVERY year! If they are in any way close to the line they set its always some fiasco and things get re-graded and rules get changed. Just stay away next time especially if they are not exact about how they will grade the length of the song.

And no one is trying to screw anyone. No book is picking the over/under based on the action they got on one side or the other. If a book is willing to risk its reputation over something so silly as squeezing some extra cash from this prop then they won't last long. As I said above, there's just too many ways to properly grade this and with different rules at different books there could very well be two correct by opposite rulings.
