I love this show. Season one started out not so great but really picked up as it went on, and season 2 has been great through the first two episodes even if it being a prequel is a little weird, but understandable why they did it.

It is an amazing show I recommend it to everyone, by the third episode you will be hooked.

Yeah, watched Blood and Sand and now following Gods of the Arena. Thought the first episodes sucked though. It only starts to get good when his head gets shaved.

Too bad Whitfield isn't coming back, he was awesome as Spartacus. Not as sure of the new guy who will be playing Spartacus, he looks too... weak. I mean, he can and probably will bulk up for the season, but... he doesn't have that rough face look that I can seriously believe as Spartacus. Will still see how it pans out.

Anyway, the show is AWESOME. Sex, violence, scheming, martial arts, great dialogue -- who could ask for more?

This show is putting Starz back on the fukkin' map. Believe. Can't wait for the prequel to be over so we can get back to the revolt.

You're right on the mark about Whitfield! He makes Russell Crowe look like an amateur, with both, acting and body. And Gladiator looks like a cartoon in comparison!
YOU MUST get through the first episode of "Blood And Sand!"
It steams up the screen soon after, and, like someone stated, you will be addicted!

I just cannot bring myself to watch this "prequel" Gods Of The Arena." NO ONE can replace the real Spartacus character. [WHITFIELD] This new star I saw on the previews actually SMILES. You gotta be kidding. Gladiators do not smile!

Have to agree, MadTiger! Starz has always been a pretty third-rate cable movie network, but this totally puts them on the map. Hope they can keep coming up with good stuff.

Interesting... I kind of took the opposite point of view and thought it was more about Cryxis.

Gattacus or w/e is kind of a pissant right now though, so I guess it'll probably be his rise and eventual fall to Cryxis (my 2 cents).

Really liked Blood and Sand, the ep where Whitefield had to kill his BFF was sad. Good action, good pron and somewhat okay plot. (8/10)
