Is XBOX Kinect any good??

Its pretty fun, the dance game is always a good laugh and the sports one with volleyball is pretty good too

yeah the Kinect sports is good. the one with volleyball and the cartoon characters. i got my cousin the MMA one but havent heard how he likes it. theyre good for girls and parties. like a wii on steroids

thats what i was scared of. then again, i'm at 27 yr old kid. i've seen some videos of the dance games - good drinking game maybe...

im sure the games will blow for about a year or close to it but on the other hand u can video chat and u can play pause ff and rw movies and shows with your hand..now how cool is that i think its ballin

Very true.. All simple games that you get bored with after a few times played.. Only time mine gets turned on is when i have a few friends over drinking & their wives-girlfriends wanna play it.. Its good for a few laughs, but thats about it..

I have a PS3 and an XBox. I prefer everything about the PS3 not the least of which is the noise (or lack thereof). My Xbox fan is LOUD.

I got the kinect, it's fukn hard work! It lags a tiny bit too but friends get off on it because it's cool to use your hands, don't play it naked though it takes pictures of you!

all games lag on lcd/led/plasma
i moved the xbox to a 10-year old sony 32" projection (analog has no lag)

it's not high-def but at least there's no lag
even after calibrating the lag, guitar hero and kinect games are almost unplayable on flat panels - so frustrating

i friggin love it. its really intuitive for new technology available to the masses.

for now, i have the game that came with it (kinect adventures) and just got ea sports active 2. the sports active is for when im lazy and don't go to the gym, so i have no excuse to not workout anymore

make sure you have A LOT of space though, like at least 8 feet away from your tv and about 6 feet of clearance in terms of the width of your play space.

games as of now are fairly simple, but big time developers have already signed on to make games with kinect compatibility. and they can be tiring, don't play kinect adventures drunk i can guarantee you will feel sick afterwards.
