SBR chat on an irc network, can still have browser applet to the main chat but would be nice for us old nerds to connect via a client. irc is lightweight and available for every OS, smartphones/portable devices, could be set up for free on an existing network like EFnet etc or hosting for ircd's is quite cheap for a small private network. With a private network can have host masking (hides IP) and registered nicks or an authentication system for users so their forum sn's are protected by trolls imping another user.

Channels/chatrooms for each sub forum/sport & regions would be cool, they all could be linked to an applet for that channel on each sub forum too. The staff/mods could assign ops to productive members/regular cappers of each board so the channels moderate themselves with no extra burden on the staff.

i dont know if this is already in existence but if not, sbr should have a referral system for points.
