I don't know about "face wash", definitely a punch, but ya agree that it wasn't much of a punch and he definitely took a dive there. But there is a fine line between face wash and a punch and I think it's pretty clear Staal threw a punch here.

No suspension sets a bad precedent, not saying it wasn't a little bit of a flop. But when the official 2 feet away makes that call and the league office rescinds it based on video, makes it an issue every time you have something like this now. I'm still not real convinced it was a flop, looks like a pretty legit hit across the chin.

It wasn't a face wash it was a punch to the face. Staal broke the rules and Prust took the initiative to give his team an advantage. If I was a pens fan I'd be pissed because if Prust didn't go hollywood you're not going to see that call. If I was a rangers fan I would have been happy.
