So I play Video Poker in the casino which I usually dont.
Didnt take long to notice that EVERY time you have a winning hand on the deal, you will always end up with a winning hand regardless of whatever you hold.
For Example.
Game pays on Jacks or better
say you are dealt
2C 5D 3H AS AC
so this is a winning hand because you have a pair of Aces on the deal. Now say you decide to hold the 2 of clubs and drop the other 4, you will ALWAYS draw cards that at least pay you what the pair of aces would have paid.
I noticed that other players would always give up winning hands and draw for new cards holding less than a winning hand, I noticed they always still ended up winning. Then I started doing it. I did it probably 25 times and won every time.
Is this typical of draw poker in a casino ? I always heard the cards had to be dealt out at complete random. These games are not random draws.
