Why is Bodog an A-rated book?
Logged into the site this morning and (of course) there isn't a single game to bet on yet. No NBA, no NCAA -- no nothing. No sides, ML's or totals.

Do they just pump SBR full of ad revenue to get that A or what?

I think they are a good book. Fast deposits/payouts and good numbers on underdogs

While I agree with those two reasons, there isn't much else I can say in favor of it.

Seriously, how can you not have a single line posted yet at almost noon on the day of the games?

I have been with them for about 6 and a half years.

They don't deserve A+, but I can see an A. What B books are better, is the question you should ask yourself.

EDIT: One reason for late lines is to discourage sharps from hitting them on soft lines. But you already know that. The key to using Bodog effectively is to take what avenues they give you.

Ratings can be bought just like the elections.

Your money is as safe there as any book. That's why they're an A.

Honestly, if you compare Bodog to, say, Sportsbook.com, it isn't even close in terms of betting options, early lines, buying points, live betting, software, etc.

But because Bodog advertises with SBR and Sportsbook.com doesn't, they're an A and the other is a D-. Is your money "more safe" with Bodog? Possibly. But I've never had trouble withdrawing from either book.

While I don't mind Bodog and I agree, that it is just terrible that they don't release lines until at least 1pm, and that is only about half the games, all the other don't get released until a hour before tip.

They should be an A rating, because you should know what there flaws are before signing up. Late Lines and not nearly as many betting options as some other books. But the only thing that matters to me in a book is that I can Withdraw and Deposit with ease, and Bodog is one of those books.

It's like those Zagat ratings for restaurants. You open up a new restaurant and you give them a call with a check in the mail and depending on how big the check is the rating for the restaurant will be better. This is how business is done now.

Their lines always come up later than everyone elses I don't see what the problem is, it's always like that.

If you zing Bodog for 100k, you'll get paid. Are you sure Sportsbook.com will pay you?
