Let's say you lose 20 units to someone; you still a stiff if you if you short them 1?

Whatever a unit is to you $10, $50, $100, $1k the amount is trivial to an extent. You pay back everything except 1 measly unit. Seems like drops in a bucket but regardless you made an agreement on the outset and anything with exception to full compliance with that agreement makes you a stiff right?

    Opinions welcome.

Yes, either payback in full or you are a stiff

No, it's just one unit, no biggie

Depends on the size of the units

If the guy collecting lets you off with 1 then it's OK.
If not then, yes, you are a stiff.

The guy at no point said this was acceptable, good point though, and I agree with you.

Being 1 short wasn't the deal when the bet was made. Trying to renegotiate anything after the fact is total bs. $1000 short or $1 short....its still being a stiff.

Yes, it does make you a stiff if not paid in full.If you get jammed up and can't pay all at once but pay in full within the time allotted that is fine .Make him chase you and finally pay when hassled makes you not a "stiff", but "bad pay" in my book.
