Hello players! I’m sure most of you are smiling today after the smashing of the books yesterday. The late scores by the Bears and then the Jets knocked out any hope of a profit for the books – unless they don’t take teasers – as those two late scores put in all combinations of teasers (the only loser would’ve been Green Bay / Chicago over in 6 or 6 ½ pointers) to put the icing on the cake. The players easily tabbed both Green Bay and Pittsburgh also to make it a sweep for the players. The only thing the books may have won is the Green Bay total small and that’s about it. Well, on to the Super Bowl and then that’s it for another so-so NFL season. I said I was going to into depth about the basketball for last week, but I haven’t the heart this morning.
