#37If it's not normal for you to receive $60,000 wires, then yah, they'll investigate further. But I don't see them just closing the account over that. You might've sold a house, car, or transferred funds from an investment fund. So there's something further going on. I'm guessing they figured out the funds came from internet gaming, and decided they didn't want to do business with him any longer.Comment -

#38Press the 'print screen' key on your keyboard. Open up MS Paint and paste it. Save it. You can either attach it to your post, or upload it to a site like imageshack, and insert the image here.
But there's really no need to prove yourself. It is what it is.Comment -

#39I did call. You think I am sitting on my thumbs. They said you are being mailed a letter but they have the right to close any account without a exact purpose. They see my account being a liability I guess.
Why the **** would I BS about a bank closing my account. You guys are funny.
Who knows? They did get sued by the Gov for laundering money last year. Maybe they're changing how they operate.Comment -

#42Where do these idiots keep coming from
We had a guy that claimed he can pick higher than 75% in the NFL regularly. Another dude thinking he's clever by doing a 5k charge back because he was intentionally planning to stiff the book. Now we got an idiot out of the Blues, claiming he won 60k and that a decent bank like Well Fargo's kicked him out just for making a depositComment -

Because I've never heard of such a thing. If you go to the site and look at customer agreements, you see nothing in regards to closing an account over something like that.

A bank can close your account at any time if they no longer want to do business with you. They don't have to give you a reason, either. When I used to be in the adult business, I had a bank close my account because they found out that the wires that I was receiving were merchant processing for adult websites, and they did not want to do business with porn companies.Comment -

The Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve Bank yesterday issued new regulations spelling out how banks and other financial institutions must comply with a 2006 law that bans many forms of Internet gambling.
The regulations were released just a few days after critics of the law questioned the involvement of a former National Football League lobbyist in the White House's final review of the new rules.
Running 120 pages, the regulations detail how banks must identify and block illegal Internet gambling transactions beginning in January.[B][B]They key isn't getting rich quick. The key is getting rich slowly, and enjoying it.

Yes it is, if they determine that the funds were from internet gaming. They can be fined from the government for knowingly processing internet gaming transactions.Comment -
