    Hansbrough is a beast
He singlehandely beat Louisville tonight. I have never seen such dominance in both defense and offense. He has a non-stop motor.

Wait a minute !!! You have never seen a more dominant performanceon offense and defense? He plays well but he isn't even an honorable mention in my opinion on all-time NCAA players. The way Bilas was talking you would think it was Lou AL Cinder playing for them. I think there are 5 Players in the remaining 5 teams I would rather have than him. Memphis probably has 2-3 of those. He will be Christian Latener in the pros. D-League type player.

Wow. Of all the self-implicitly incorrect statements I've heard on a message board, this one takes the cake. Laettner was some D-Leaguer alright...

Burtrapp you are a hater or not very intelligent or both! Hansborough is averging the most points in UNC history per game since 1977 and we all know alot of decent players came out of UNC. Memphis has 2 or 3 LOL name you must be watching a different game.

You have got to be kidding me. First off I know why everyone wants to love this kid. he works hard and he does things the right way and of course he's WHITE. Believe me I know the underlying reasons. If you think that Hansborough will be even a good pro your delusional. First off what positio will he play in the pros??? Let me know and then I will give you a list of 20 players that are better than him. North Carolina plays a great team game. He is not even their best payer to me. Lawson is.

Dude, I'm not a NC fan but when I see talent I recognize it no matter what Bilas says. If you can't see the way he hassles in every play then you know nothing about basketball. Padgett was taller than him but he used his body wisely to get open and get rebounds, lose balls, score, do whatever the team needed to win.

I said nothing about any of this. When you say Christian Laettner is a "D-league" type player, you lose all credibility in my books.

What he did tonight all game, especially in the 2nd half, was beyond clutch. It was like watching Tom Brady late in game. Unbelievable performance.

My point is this = If you switch Padgett and Hansborough I think UNC still wins. They are the better system. They play a certain style and Lawson makes them go. Hansborough gets timely baskets and key rebounds but so do other players in college ball. If I'm a NBA GM how can I take a chance on this kid when there are so many other guys with huge ceilings. He's a decent player but hustle only gets you so much in the NBA. I am a DIE HARD BULLS fan and we have 2 of the biggest energy and hustle guys in KimNoah and Tyrus Thomas and look where that gets us. J.J. Reddick was a good player in college can't get off the bench.

                        Burt,

I hear what you're saying, and it's certainly a fair point worth making, but I just don't think you can bet against this guy (and I'm not talking gambling). I know every player wants to win, nobody likes to lose, but watching him play is just different. He never gives up, and you can't say that for everyone, he NEVER gives up on a play. He's incredibly talented, a fierce clutch competitor, and I'm confident with the right coaching he could make a big impact on pro hoops. You can always count on him with the game on the line.

Personally I think hansborough will be nice off the bench as an NBA player...

but I think he's gonna come back for his senior year, try to improve his stock and work on his jumper even more...

cause in order to be successfull at the next level he's gotta improve his jumper (it was on tonight..) and keep that drive up for a lengthy season...

I hate having this argument because I normally like these kind of guys. I feel like the media got a hold of him and put him in a different hemisphere. He's a Great COLLEGE player.

He's all heart, a lot of talent and any fan would love to have him on their team, but he won't even be the highest drafted white center in the draft - Kevin Love will be.

He is very good at the college level and his college performance tonight was outstanding. When he decides to go pro he will probably be a power forward like Horford is for the Hawks.
