JJ bullshits to a certain extent but he also tells the truth a lot - it's just hard for most people to figure it out because it's a bit "Little boy who cried wolf". Once someone's realised he's lied about one thing, it's hard to believe the next thing he says. The problem is that he knows that and just messes with everyone.
