    Inside Information...does it exist?
A lot of times we hear posters, especially touts, say they know someone who knows someone who is close to the game and so on and that they have information about the game and that you should play this.

Should we put any value in "inside information" or at least the quality of it. My understanding is that inside information just does not exist in the way we like to think it does. I mean anything that could possibly influence the outcome of a game would go public?

So does "inside information" exist and do you put any value in it?

The closest thing I've ever found to "inside information" is the Pro Football News & Injury Report at footballinjuries.com. This report is done by league insiders and it is incredible. Read some of the testimonials, they even have one from Coach Belichick. That weekly report is the closest thing I've ever found to inside information.

Inside info exists in horse racing and boxing. Other than that, true inside info rarely exists unless you ask a tout. He'll tell you he gets it daily. Once in a while the fix may be in on a soccer match but as I stated these are rare occurences.

Getting information early is another story. Lots of times right before a game you'll find out that a player isn't starting or not suiting up. Paid line services get this information out. Then it's a race to see if the player or book finds out first.

Thats what I always thought inside info was. If you get the scoop before the book then thats as inside as it gets. Anyone sitting behind a coach with courtside seating could get you inside info. Especially these days where books offer live betting and 1/4 lines.

If you know anyonw who hits the big clubs you could probably find out when players are drinking the night before a game. A door man in LA would be a good contact. Lots of times those players cant play the next day because of "food poisoning".

I have contacts ranging from friends of upmires mainly to some guys that go to batting practice real early and try to pick up little things and then they phone me and I bet.

We have a couple of trainers that give us info to on status of players

Huh? Oh shoot, delayed response. I must of passed out in the sand for a while.

SOME OF THE GUYS AT THE TRACK ALWAYS CLAIMED TO HAVE INSIDE INFORMATION. THEY WOULD RUN IN THE OFFICE AND SAY, OH WE HAVE INSIDER INFORMATION ON THIS RACE. IT WAS LIKE GITMO OR SOMETHING SAID OH TAKE THE 2 HORSE OR SOMETHING. AND ALL THE LADIES TOOK THE 2 HORSE AND HE WOULD GET SMOKED. IT WAS REALLY STUPID, BUT THEN AGAIN SOME PEOPLE ARE REALLY STUPID. OR THEY ARE REALLY SMART AND WE ARE STUPID.

PAUSE AND CONSIDER THAT FOR A MINUTE. OK, MAYBE WE ARE ACTING STUPID OR MAYBE THEY ARE ACTING STUPID, BUT EVENTUALLY I HIT AN EXACTA AND I SHOWED IT TO MATT, AND WAS LIKE WHOA. HE WAS ALL DERR AND I WAS LIKE WHOA..

SO THAT PRETTY MUCH EXPLAINS INSIDE INFORMATION FOR YOU.

inside info definitely does exist, but not true most of the time people say they have. most of the time they are just look for attention and for people to respect their play so they make up a story to get that respect... until it goes bad.

Maybe inside info with injuries which could help or internal problems which might help.

jj by the look of your spreadsheet you need new contacts, the ones you
have are not getting the job done.

Inside information obviously exists. Are YOU or anyone YOU know (including websites with touts, forums and all other bs) going to get it without knowing someone on the team or someone directly related to the team?

                      NO

Definately exists, if you have enough contacts, inside or with direct access to teams and you are working together providing info, this is knowledge which you will not find on the internet or anywere else, it has to be gathered directly, preferably for games that arn't that high profile, this is capping at its best.

I think there is a lot of more lot more illegal operations than you think. Just remember Art Schlister. NBA referee that cost the Kings a Series win. Denny McClain and etc.

In Basketball it is very obvious that the referees can be corrupt

In Baseball The pitchers and Umpires can be corrupt

In Hockey, the referees and goalie can be corrupt

In NCAA sports~football scams and basketball scams are everywhere...University of Toledo players where fixing games...and trust me are many other schools

In Football, The offensive line is the key or Kicker. Notre Dame kicker from the past got in lots of trouble. There are always bad apples to football.

In the Olympics the Skating judges where paid off, remember that?

In international Socceer, Every week there is some type of fix or scam.

                                  Boxing everybody knows this already

horse racing is also very corrupted. The Jockeys can easily influence an outcome.

Every sports has some type of fix or scam no matter what the commissioner says of how great the league is ran or profitable. There is always something when money is around. When money is around there is always some type of scam or scheme.
