How can NBA gm's pass on Love?

Why'd the Wizards have to care about winning this season.

I was hoping for a top 10 pick and banking on NBA gm's passing on the American white guy until around then.

No way is Lawson falling that far unless the Wizards are owed some great Karma. And even then at that point how could we pass on Hansbrough?

I think Rick Carlisle just shot a load over the idea of Love falling to 9th and dropping into his fastbreak system. Given the right collection of talent around him, the kid has the ability to revolutionize the game with his outlet passes.

Yeah, sure, Blake Griffin will be drafted ahead of him.

I was going to point out how 3 pac-10 guys are in the top 5 but then i remembered how mean the pac-10 fans are.

Last night I saw love grab a board turn and drop a dime to the opposite three point line. He hit Westbrook in stride like he was the anti jeff george. There was a man running right behind him.

It was sick. Kevin Love is ridiculous.

whats crazy to me, is not only does he throw those outlet passes off rebounds, its that he does it off made baskets also. i don't know how many times this season i have seen him grab the ball from a made basket, step immediately out of bounds, under the backboard, and do a 2 handed chest pass the length of the court to find an open man for a easy lay-up or dunk. sometimes he might run the baseline and toss it one handed, but most of the time its a pass from his chest RIGHT under the goal, he just will barely miss the bottom of the backboard, and he'll do it multiple a game. It would seem like a team would just tell their biggest player to guard him on the inbounds to limit those outlet passes.

collison at #13, no way, absolutely no way, he will be lucky to even get drafted, let alone go in the first round, nba scouts are awesome, they can see when a go has no upside, collison is an exceptional college player who will ride a bench in the nba or play overseas, take this to the bank, i nail these predictions regularly

I hope bayliss doesn't run the point in the nba. hes undersized for a 2, but thats where he seems most natural.

I would be OK with this. I like this kid and would be happy to see the Raptors draft him. I think he goes higher though.

All that i currently care about is my friends and family. I don't go out much or seek the one-night-stands. I do, however, have trouble passing on the opportunity to make a sarcastic comment.

one inch height advantage = 3 inch reach advantage,

yes, i used to coach HS basketball, and won CIF in CA 3 out of 5 yrs
OK, fair enough. So do you take Griffin over Love based on what you've seen from both? Is once-in-a-lifetime outlet passing more or less valuable than 1" height/3" reach?

To me it isn't, especially once I've seen him outplay Brook Lopez and his 3" height/9" reach advantage 3 times head-to-head this year.

they had similar numbers in each of those games.

If you consider 46 pts on 50 FG attempts for Lopez and 44 pts on 33 FG attempts for Love to be "similar" then you would be absolutely correct!

points, boards were similar. love was 4-13 with 6 boards in the final meeting. he did not outplay Lopez in that game. You said he outplayed him in each meeting. That is not correct. Love shot over 50% in one of the meetings. In that game he was 4 of 7. Neat.

Ummm...OK...obviously the scoresheet always tells everything, I forgot that. Like where it mentions Love going down with an injury early in that game and then playing through it. That must be in the really fine print.

Maybe so, maybe not, but he sure-as-hell outplayed Brook Lopez on March 7th, 2008. Perhaps if you had actually watched the game you might understand. Feel free to consult someone other than me who did.

                                                          1) I did watch the game.
                                                          2) Love was fairly dominant in one of the matchups with stanford, in that game Lopez had 18 and 13?
                                                          3) IQ "matchup". Gladly. Perhaps we can arrange a contest of some sort at the bash? We can have an IQ test, throw a football, lift some weights, pick up some women, box, run, and/or do anything else that involves a competition b/w you and I. If you win any, i'll cut your lawn with scissors every day for a month.
