when looking at a total, or do you just find yourself hoping for it at times (WVU/Xavier) if you need an over.

I think it is hard to...unless there is a team that always seems to get into OT or you have have two equally good teams on a neutral court and think of the possibilty...I know one thing for sure...you dont see OT in NBA as much as NCAA

I normally don't try to factor in possibility of OT when capping the games. But I definitely hoped for it last night in the Xavier/WVU game.

In a way...yes. I'll look at the scoring of the two teams, and if there were any OT's then the pts are figured in. I agree with Diogee that OT is no friend to the Under player, myself included.

          Good question, Mo.

Whenever I bet on Over, I always hope it's a close game. It helps in the last minute of the game when the trailing team has to foul, and gives a better chance for an OT.

And for Unders, it's your worst enemy. I once bet on a game to go under. It went into OT. Luckily it was still under after the OT. The only problem...then there was the 2nd OT!!!

Of course but that's because I bet halftime lines... I do not for game lines though..

No, any I don't think anybody should bother because the odds of a game NOT going to OT are in your favour.
Instead, lets say the odds of any PK NBA game going into OT is 15/1..You're probably better off betting YES 15 straight times and see if you're lucky enuff to hit 2..

A few years ago I had two NBA overs that were going well under. One went OT and over. Then the same thing for the second game! I'd like to tell you I capped it that way, but ....

My under mantra, near the end of a game, used to be: NO OT, NO OT, NO OT. Works like a charm. But it does take a voodoo type rhythm.

No because it usually doesn't happen.

I presume that anyone that answered "no" doesn't bet pucks.

Nope. I'm normally praying for the OT, and screaming at the TV sorta like DH though.
