    Intertops sucks!
I should've posted this sooner as this actually occurred about a week ago. I got a letter in the mail from a book I've never thought of trying, Intertops. The letter essentially offered me a $25 no deposit bonus, which is essentially nothing but I figured what the hell never hurts to have an extra out and I have never tried them be4. To make things easier they have like a special webpage address you enter and it takes you to a sign up page with basically 90% of the signup information filled out for you, everything except email and phone which I entered and it said you will be credited $25 bonus after logging in for the first time. I create the account and log in but it says account locked please contact customer service, wtf???? Okay so I call CS and they tell me my account did not pass Intertops "fraud protection" requirements. "Fraud protection" what the hell I'm just signing up with the webpage you sent in a letter to my house, wtf kinda fraud am I trying to perpetrate here. Anyway this is already a fukin joke for a $25 bonus I was just gonna toss on a hand of blackjack in their casino anyway but I ask what do I need to meet Intertops fraud protection requirements and she says a copy of your DL, a recent utility bill, a copy of your bank statement!!! And I'm like aight thx and just hang up the phone. This is unfukin real, I was not even depositing or cashing out, I have never even been to Intertops website prior to that day and I was only signing up b/c of a $25 no deposit bonus they had offered in trying to get me to sign up. Basically this is complete and utter horseshit and Intertops can suck my dick, but I just wanted to let everyone know that if they hassle you this much over nothing there's no telling what kinda headache they would give me if I ever actually wanted to cash out from their site.

Sounds like Intertops has implemented the same policies as SportsInteraction has in place these days in regards to sending in your info before playing. I can't say I blame any book for enforcing a rule like this even though it's a total hassle, however due to the U.S. processing restrictions that are currently in place these days. I think this type of thing will become more common at most books in the near future.

      Hi Bettilimbroke999

Our internal security checks have recommended asking you for documentation. We know that this is quite a hassle, but we try to do these checks as early as possible – so that potential problems are avoided before a customer makes a deposit or requests a payout.

So unfortunately we have to ask you for the documentation before reopening your account, but we think it if fairer to ask for it now before you put any of your money in.

      We hope for your understanding,
      Best regards,
      Intertops

        100% the correct move imo.

However his post gives a clear indication why most books don't do this, and then get people complaining when they come to cash out.

Don't send me letters soliciting me to signup with your site and then tell me I didn't pass Intertops "fraud protection" requirements. Listen, if I were just to have signed up for Intertops out of the blue and failed some BS security check (who knows why), then I might understand these 50 pieces of ID that have to be sent in just to open the account. But if you have sent letters to me asking me to join your site HOW IN THE HELL IS THAT A FRAUD RISK! First off it's freakin ridiculous, I mean I can understand if I had deposited via cc and you wanted to avoid chargebacks that's fine (which is one reason I only deposit via gift cards/w.union/**), but this was a no deposit bonus which I was only signing up for in order to check out your site and see if I liked it, but hell ya never let me log on to the site!!! Do you really think I'm running a fukin con job to get your company's 25 dollars, is this that significant of a fraud risk to your company that I have to send in my FUKIN UTILITY BILL\DL\BANK STATEMENT to even log on to your site??? What kind of fraud could I be running when you SOLICITED ME VIA MAIL TO SIGNUP?? Anyway, it was such an unreal hassle dealing with your company I wouldn't dream of putting a plug nickel in your site, no other company has ever asked me for ID prior to even logging in for the first time and no other company has ever asked me for my bank statement, utility bill and all this horseshit your company asks for. Have a nice day Intertops if this is how you "introduce" ppl to your site I wouldn't even bother trying to solicit new customers.

I've got a hold of myself. DON'T SOLICIT ME AND THEN IMMEDIATELY CLOSE MY ACCOUNT SAYING I FAILED THEIR FRAUD PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS BEFORE I'VE EVEN LOGGED ON TO CHECK OUT THEIR SITE AIGHT. That's it, end of discussion, if you agree with the way Intertops runs their business fine, send em 50 pieces of ID and maybe they'll let ya log on to their site to decide if you even like their site enough to send them money in the first place.

I've used Intertops for 7 years. Still waiting for my first problem with them. You have to hate the free bankwire payouts. What a hassle!

Clearly InterSucks has gone insane if they need bank statement/utility bill/DNA sample etc. to book a 25 dollar bet. I mean wtf is wrong with these idiots? Did you degenerates all bet 10 dimes on the last 60 plays by Iwin at Intertops and they're barrelled in? Anyway, this is actually an old post but I see that the truth never gets old and basically if you are thinkin of trying Intertops just rest assured that you are in for a fukin migraine even if you are fukin barrelled in and bettin 5 bucks Intertops will treat ya like a mafia game fixer and claim you have failed some horseshit madeup "fraud detection" (very politely put by the way, indicating that you are basically a conman and have been caught). Basically if you feel like faxing over every letter/identification/bank statement/bill you have ever gotten just to logon to their site to check it out then you should try Intertops, however if you aren't a crack baby you would be wise to try BetJam, Bookmaker (ONLY IF YOU ARE A 100+ DOLLAR A GAME BETTOR AS THEIR W/D FEES ARE OUT****INGRAGEOUS!), The Greek, Matchbook, etc.. If you are anything like me, betting on a motherfuker that can't make a FT to save his life or a pitcher that forgets how to throw a strike provides enough headaches, I don't need Intertops to further drain my Tylenol bottle.

maybe this is what they are doing to their new players that are coming in....
ive been with them since 1995, and although I dont use them as much as i once did ive always gotten paid in timely fashion

i can understand your frustration with them trying to get your business but thats marketing for you

                          Good post Santo.

This is the fairest way to handle to the free money accounts. All books should do it this way but it is very costly and time consuming. A bwin and 10bet give small free money accounts as well and don't check until the player has played so he is waiting for money that is now his and if he is unlucky, gets a false positive after going through fraud detection. These little things are part of the reason Intertops is one of the leaders in customer retention. They aren't big marketers or big on new features.

I've got a hold of myself. DON'T SOLICIT ME AND THEN IMMEDIATELY CLOSE MY ACCOUNT SAYING I FAILED THEIR FRAUD PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS BEFORE I'VE EVEN LOGGED ON TO CHECK OUT THEIR SITE AIGHT.
It sounds like they made a poor choice in words. I can definitely understand a player being upset after getting a mailer and then being told he is suspect. Having the clerks say "We need some more info to make sure your withdrawal goes off without a hitch" would go a long way.

I agree. Telling new customers they are frauds is unnecessary and can't be good for business. Find a better way to ask for ID, Intertops.

Intertops asked if we had a complaint of yours they could review. Shoot us a note at Help@Sportsbookreview.com if you feel there is something they should make right.

This is a bad idea, I am not telling anyone to ********** anything. I am sure Intertops will process the payouts when you win and thus you should not ********** if you lose, my complaint was related to their massive amount of identity checks they requested from me BEFORE even allowing me to logon and check out their site and this is after only signing up to try them out in the first place because they sent me a letter soliciting my business and offering me a $25 no deposit bonus just to signup with them and check them out, then right after signing up I go to log in and they tell me I failed their fraud detection WTF ARE YOU KIDDING ME???. That is why I feel Intertops sucks not b/c they would directly try to ripoff a player but b/c they never even let me log on to see what their site is like after sending me letters soliciting me to sign up in the first place. FOR THE RECORD I DO NOT SUPPORT CHARGEBACKS TO BOOKS (BET WITH A RATED BOOKS AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE PAID AND THUS SHOULD ALWAYS PAY IF YOU LOSE). DON'T BET WITH WHAT YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE!
