    laptop speaker problem
pretty sure its a problem with the speaker/headphone jack.. the external speakers work fine...but when i unplug them the laptop speakers dont turn on.. but if i pull the speaker plug out half way, then the laptop speakers kick in... any advice on what I can do to that jack to fix it?

      Possible solution

Is it a Compaq? Goto control panel, sounds, speakers will come up, double click and check to see under "device usage" if you plug in speakers the computer will sometimes disable computer speakers, then for what ever reason wont reset when unplugged. Good luck.
