With the major American sports I fade a select few that post on this and similar forums, very successfully. It is a lot more profitable to fade a 45 % bettor than try to hit 55% yourself.

With soccer I enjoy it though so I spend all week watching preview shows, reading up on team websites and watching injury reports (hitting about 63%).
