Alright my friend uses **** gift cards to deposit on full tilt poker and it works. however i used the same card on BetUS and it doesn't work. now i want to use it on Matchbook. I don't get why full tilt poker would accept it. Would matchbook accept it then?

It simply depends on the CC processor they have.
It has the same effect as a regular card ... some can dep with a specific debit/credit card in a book ... and try the same card in a different book and they get declined.
