With Luck not sitting at Number 1 now, look for Carolina to trade down in the draft and go with a Defensive player or receiver. Carolina will not be willing to pay number one draft pick money on a player they think they can get later in the draft.Comment -

Well if there is no one that Carolina wants at number one there isn't a player anyone else wants either, so they wont be able to trade the pick.
Of course, that could be altered depending on what happens with a rookie scale, if it sufficiently low enough then trading pack a few places may be viable, but there is enough talent near the top of the draft that few teams will be willing to move up a few places and Carolina probably wont want to move down significantly.
As far as who Carolina takes, well
There is enough time that workouts and interviews may place Locker, Gabbert or Mallet at the number one slot.
If the sell job on one of those three isnt enough they could take AJ Green, who is best offensive players in the draft or they would go for Bowers to take the place of Peppers in the pass rushComment -
