DMB40 & Ontherise23 sbr point fund IPO $10 a share

Hey guys,

OnTheRise23 and DMB40 are starting a sbr point fund. We will be issuing initial shares at a rate of 10 points per share. Our initial investment will be 300 points each (30 shares) for a total of 600 points (60 shares). We will be wagering them in the sbr sportsbook. Each morning, as long as there are no bets pending, we will be issuing a share price based on the current performance. You will be able to buy and sell shares at that price up until we begin enter bets for that day. We will be posting the plays and results as we lock them in so everyone will be able to track our progress. There will be a 4% commission charged on sales of the shares to cover the transaction costs. OnTheRise23 and DMB40 will be the ones in charge of making the picks and will be open to suggestions but final decisions will rest in our hands. This fund will be more on the conservative side of investing.
We will pick our spots to take a bigger shot but most of our plays will average about a 5% wager.

Its just one play. We are not always going to be taking 2-5 shots. If we had the luxury we would take VAN -1/2 1st 60 min but the sbr book does not offer that. We have been betting for a while and making money doing it. This is just something fun to do on the side to try to build up some points rather than have them sitting around or whatnot. People talking about I banking need to find something better to do. If u dont like the idea dont read it, dont post in it. Haters will always hate. If people want to get involved then awesome we will have some fun.

but if all you're betting is 5-10% of the balance on any given game, there is almost no way to overcome juice/4% commission/sbr rake in the long run

kind of like investing in a "stock" like ung or vxx where the fees just kill you every month

Welcome aboard. We wont be betting that high of a percentage once there are more points in the fund. Just getting it off the ground.

As far as UNG and VXX are concerned, i know what you mean. I know too many people i know have been burried by UNG. Hoping to see a natural gas rebound as oil climbed to all time highs over the past few years, as well as the fees. VXX i am a fan of as it has made me a lot of money in the past. Just gotta be quick in and quick out on that one cause the only way to win is a quick downturn in the mkt.

Milwaukee if you have any thoughts or picks or what not just let us know. Anyone involved can voice their opinions, suggest picks, chat about picks, etc. Again, welcome.

Also appreciate that you guys are at least making the thread open for discussion for shareholders to make picks. These fund ideas could be fun, but has to be done by the right individuals. You should consider waiting to offer more shares until you prove you are serious... then any investor that checked it out would have something to go on.

Exactly Zam. This is something that we are setting up for fun. Don't get me wrong, we are definitely going to take it serious and make the best picks that we can but ultimately it will be a great place to share ideas, etc. We dont need anyones sbr points. Were not trying to steal peoples points. It was something we figured would be entertaining given the right mix or posters and picks. Who knows, one day we might all be able to roll around on segways.

As of now, we are going to post our picks and build a track record so people can see if they want to be involved or not. Anyone is welcome to join.
