think about it...... this mass shooting was a major event meaning the entire force was there securing the crime scene, interviewing witnesses, searching for accomplices, etc. so it would have been crazy to hold an event with thousands of people without the necessary police security.

imagine had they gone on with the event and the reported accomplice shot up hundreds of people because they were shorthanded on security due to the earlier shooting.

it was 100% right decision.
