Okay, you hate George W Bush, You really hate him, I understand
But even you, by now, have to be rolling your eyes at this:

Pelosi: Democrats Lost House Because of ... Bush!

"We still would have lost the election because we had 9.5% unemployment. Let's take it where that came from. The policies of George W. Bush and the Republican support for his initiatives, tax cuts are for the wealth, recklessness by some," Minority Leader Pelosi told CNN.

Bush really wasn't that bad. Dotcom bubble bursting, housing bubble bursting, 9/11... that's a lot of economic shit to deal with that wasn't his fault. My only real gripe with Bush was that he spent far too much money. And the bailout before he left office

I watch American politics from across the border, doesn't matter what anyone thinks about Bush--that Pelosi woman is deranged. I keep thinking some men in white suits are gonna show up any minute and carry her off.

Your statement would be very funny if it weren't so true!

Yes, and this administration has totally reigned in the spending with the current $1.6 trillion deficit this year alone

We still spend more on social security every year than the wars.

Maybe if the Democrats on the SIC had any balls and weren't the pansy cowards they are and stood up for the "no WMD's in Iraq" argument early on we wouldn't have gone to war in the first place.

Are you really telling me that you think George W. Bush is smart enough to dupe every Democrat in congress? If that's the case, then you're pointing your finger in the wrong place brother.

For the most part Bush's debt as a percentage of GDP was in line with the three Presidents before him, and only spiked when the Democrats regained control of congress in '06. (Congress controls spending)
No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.

I AGREE! Eloquent or not, I believe he's right. Congress gave him a blank check.

Oh I agree 100%... I can't stand Obama. I support what Bush did, except for spending too much. Smaller government/more business is the best way to go. Too bad we're heading the complete opposite direction :/

Dubya's impact on the election can't be denied.

His right wing activist Supreme Court appointments decided that BkofAma and the Chamber of Commerce are "people". This cleared the way for untold millions to be dropped on any candidate who would dare oppose the multinational monopolies. Our once great nation will never recover from this.

This is as good an answer in this thread as any.

I would like to add that Bush brought up the ideas for wars and both Repubs and Dems voted for the wars.

BOTH Obama and Bush helped people get into houses who had no right having one. Obama was affilitated with ACORN. Bush had programs that helped people get help for both their down payment and their home loans! If a person has to have help for a down payment they shouldn't have a house! The idea of a down payment is so there is incentive to make your payments because you will lose money in the form of a down payment if you don't.

What Bush did that was good was cut taxes. This lead to the economic growth spurt of 2003/2004 and forward. Obama added trillions to the deficit.

I think you have to wait 25 years before you can truly judge a president. I will say there were some things that Bush did wrong (Katrina), but he did get our country through one of the biggest attacks on our home soil since Pearl Harbor. I also know a lot of troops who had a lot more faith in Bush as there Commander-in-Chief than Obama.

I give Bush credit for trying to reform Social Security, that was the right thing to do. I give Bush credit for lowering taxes and increasing revenues. I don't give him credit for spending too much money. A lot of the monetary financial problems were at least partially due to the Central Bank, and a lot of the fiscal problems got really bad when the Democrats took over congress.

If I had to choose, I'd rather have a Democrat President with a Republican congress instead of a Republican president and a Democratic congress. A Democrat President with a Democrat Congress is obviously the worst.

Also a conservative majority on the SCOTUS is key if we want America to remain free and #1

Former Senator Bill Frist (R) was the jerkoff who pushed through UIEGA at the last minute during the lame duck session in 2006....The late 90's - 2006 were the best of times in the offshore gambling world.

Lowering taxes while knee deep in 2 wars. Unemployment doubled (and then some) from 4.0% in 2000 to 9 in his 8 years. And we're told that lowering taxes generates jobs right?
