Ok as someone who grew up in ths area I have a few things to say.

1st of this show is NOT an accurate portrayal of how it really is out there. We went out there hundreds of times and very rarely had problems with anyone. The girls are hot and yes for the most part stupid but i had some cool girlfriends out there. Yes there are dickbags like these guys out and it is amazing how much attention they get. Hey if it makes money go with it right? That's MTV's angle and this shit sells.

I agree some parts of Jersey are horrendous but for those of you who have been to Red Bank, etc. there are some damn decent places to hang out there. Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and most importantly

I'm happy with my life, but I wouldn't complain if I lived closer to the beach. I'm 36 and have been down the beach every year. Some family, great memories. When the show first came on I was pissed, but I started watching after the Miami season. I like it.

My college room mate is from Ocean or Deal. I liked Djais when I was there once, although I did feel it was guido town. This was like in 2001. There was one spot I went to a few times. I think it was called TradeWinds. It was a cool club but they tore it down and made condos.
