ML Parlays vs. Straight wager

Been seeing lots of success this year with the ML Parlays in college hoops. I always would refer to parlays as sucker bets but from what I have seen the guys doing the ML Parlays are doing pretty well. What do you guys think is better? And do you think it would be a good strategy for lots of sports or just basketball?

I would say that ML parlays have to be a goldmine for football as well and will be trying them come football season.
