Need some recommendations for a new Razor/Shaver

electric shaver i've had for 3 years crapped out on me yesterday.

not sure if i want another electric one, requires a lot of cleaning and the head dulls quickly.

What do you guys use??

I only use electric. Pain in the ass for that neck beard but it is quick and that's perfect for me as I'm usually running late in the morning. I forget the brand I got.

gillete razor works, but a 13 yr old kid prob has more pube hair then i have facial hair

I use a beard trimmer. Don't have the clean look but it only takes a few minutes and are relatively cheap. If I need a clean look, just use a normal razor.

For that not-quite-clean-shaven look: groomer with various attachments (Norelco)

For the real-deal shave:

Gillette Fusion (the powered one). I use it regular on the first pass. Trim of with the little blade on the other side, and with the power on for the second pass, using lotion, or just water.

If you go with a safety razor, or even a straight razor, more power to you. But the Gillette is the minimum for me.

I have only used electric razors. The rotary type is quicker, especially if you have not shaven in 2 days or more. My wife gave me a foil system one and it has better control and closer shave. However, if you use it too close, it sometimes extracts the hair from the root, and the 2 days beard looks awful with hairless patches.

Not tried the Fusion yet. So I love with the Gilette Mach 3 Turbo that I'm hesitant on upgrading.

Braun electric, but your right about wearing out the heads , they need changing at least twice a year.

Get 2 electric ones.

Make sure both have at least a 10 piece kit with them. One head for shaving if your beard gets a little long, and 1 for when it's short. I believe most come like that.

But use 1 strictly for your face, and use the other for your balls/asshole.
