I think some slightly lower staked tables might cut down on this a bit. Some people probably playing short stacked cause they don't have the points to buy in deep. And of course logically if you are playing short stacked in a cash game you'll be shoving more often.

Someone on my table won 3 all ins in a row without seeing the flop and in 2 of them he beat the other guys on the river. It was like he knew the flop and the river while they were face down. And that was in the span of 5 hands dealt.

Online when a player (usually a short stacker), doubles up through you and then quickly leaves. The issue is that it is very bad etiquette to do this and it does not keep the money in play.
You should be able to give action to get action and short stacking hit and run scums really screw up the flow of a game.
I have no problems with banking a profit but you have to give people a chance at the money on the table. IMHO.
Cheers.

Come on Rudy! Don't be a quitter! Just play accordingly. You know people are just playing for points and are going to take more risks.
It seems whenever I play in these situations I get farther if I'm willing to lay down some decent hands when called all-in.

Amazing the amount of people calling Rudy names and not even comprehending what he is talking about. He was not talking about the tourneys, but instead sitting at the regular points tables.
The kind of players he is talking about are very annoying.

Agreed which is why I have only sat at the points table one time. There was a hit n run that time I played. I believe it was Apricot aka Venditto. He sat with like 20 points and went all in. Won the hand and then left.

LOL. If that was true, it would be easier to beat than if peopel were actually trying. In reality, play (on average) has improved in recent years with less "bingo" allins and expensive chasing. (Of course, many people have the oposite weakness of not betting their hands and then making crying calls.)
