What you saw today was an NFL coach, with players that have IQ's in the 150's, playing with a professional quarterback. Versus a college coaching staff with a head coach who is now 1-19 versus teams in the top 5. Va Techs players are not nearly as smart and just couldn't handle the mental wits and pro QB. Tyrod Taylor is good for sportscenter but will never sniff the NFL. He just can't pass, he passes off balance and has no fundamentals.
The difference between the ACC and SEC is no comparison. You saw what Alabama did to michigan state. Alabama would probably beat Stanford. And Auburn beat Alabama, AT Alabama, in one of the biggest gutcheck games of all time.
Newton is a franchise NFL QB, he has his head screwed on straight and Auburns defense is so much better than Oregon, its laughable. The talent level between Auburn's defense vs Oregon's defense is no comparison. The offenses are the same.
SEC play is not like any other conference. Its NFL for 18-21 year olds.
BTW South Carolina was not the 2nd best team in the SEC. Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi State are all better. SC just got the good bowl game because they played in a very down SEC East and happened to end up winning the east.Comment -

I think this indicates more of how bad the ACC and Vtech were. TD was a fluke scramble and then the FG was because of a holding call. Standford just shut them down in the second half.

Auburn has a real QB/leader. That is what you have to worry about. Pac 10 was very, very good this year. No one has any reason to believe otherwise. OSU might have been the worst team in the PAC 10 and they gave TCU a run for their money at their place.
Only reason to take Auburn is that they are better at the position that means most.Comment -

some clown thinkin Auburn wins by 40. Why do some clowns even post on here. Anyway defense Ducks are the better team. Oregon did the same thing Auburn did was getting beat bad and came back to win. Oregon did it vs Stanford and Auburn did it against Alabama. This will be a very close game but i think the speed in which Oregon plays on offense will be a factor. I just don't see this game being a blowout but alot of people on the east coast don't watch much pac 10 football. This Ducks team is the real deal and will give Auburn a tough game. I like the Ducks in this one but i guess will all see what happens.

Hate betting against Top 5 D lineman in primetime bowl games. D line is an energy/effort position...With millions on the line, don't you think you would create some havoc too?
I do think the Ducks are the better team, but these are bowl games. New Season bowl games. What I like is Chip Kelly and that Auburn has had some good fortune this year, hoping it runs out here.

You had me until the bold. You are going to sit here and tell everyone that Cam Newton is going to be a "Franchise QB"?? Give me a break kid. Newton is a great player that is playing in a great scheme. Look at every single QB that has tried to come into the NFL that played in a spread offense and tell me how they all did. Newton does not have a very good arm and he really is not even that accurate. His stats are skewed because he does run the spread offense and its much easier to read a defense and the defenders commit to the run leaving WR open.
