    Poker Cheats in Casinos
i saw a CSI episode where the holdem players use invisible ink to mark the cards. how does the casino catch the cheat nowdays? anyone has experience at a table where they suspect the cards are marked?

i think this only happens at the higher limit tables. i tend to play at 1-2 tables with the townies

There was a a section on this in a book called "Dirty Poker" by Richard Marcus. Interesting book, but not very feasible. There's too much risk of getting caught, even if you successfully apply the ink.

You can request a new deck at any time at a real casino so if you suspect it, just have them change it then it will take another 50 hands for them to figure it out, also if you keep your cards covered with either a protector or your hand it will at least keep them from knowing what your hand is. I would also let the card room cordinator know if you suspect it....I dont think I have ever seen a person I thought was cheating and the tables are so large it would be hard for someone to see everyones cards......so probably not happening, also if someone is staring at your cards the entire game instead of you that may be a good tip off...

most poker cheating is signaling hand information and teams at the table.
