NU got the bowl based on Persa's play. Him being out is a huge factor in that game. MSU was always a pretender. The question was which Bama team would show up. The good one did and they are getting rolled.

They were in every game this year and knocked off the #12 team in their bowl game............they were far from "terrible".

Top 3 teams are Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan State and Mich State is really nothing special. Wisconsin and OSU didn't do much to impress this year either. Then you have decent Iowa, Illinois and Penn State teams. Michigan and Northwestern are crappy while Purdue, Minnesota and Indiana are horrid.

Agree, not having a title game participant like the PAC 10 or SEC hurt the conference.

Big 10 always sucks overall. No news here. Wisky is the best team in the conference and I think they are legit. Penn State always does well in bowls though.

One thing I can't stand about the Big Ten is their joke of non conference games that make them look better than they are. That is why so many of them are in bowl games and the two BCS Games. Arizona State - who did not go to a bow - would crush most of these Big Ten teams.

Calm down Deuce. Big 10 was ahead of the curve with it. Plus, the only Conference that does it as much is the SEC and they have a championship game, plus a much better conference. Pac 10 played every team in the conference with only three non conference games. Big 10 makes sure they get their 4 out of conference games in.
