Ebay/Paypal Question

Hey guys. I wanted to know to you guys who use ebay to purchase things and pay by paypal, do you need money in your paypal account at the moment to make the purchase and pay the seller? I want to purchase something immediately because i actually have a 10 percent discount coupon from ebay that expires very soon. My problem is i don't have enough money in my paypal account at the moment. My checking account is linked to my paypal account and i know it normally takes 3-5 business days for the transfer from past experiences but i haven't made a transfer in a while since i don't use it much anymore

But i would need to make the purchase and pay at the same time. Can someone tell me if i can make this purchase even though i don't have enough funds in my account? I read someone said you can as long as your checking account has the funds but another person said you cannot.

paypal accounts can be linked to a bank account, such as your checking account, or to a credit card. when you go to pay at the paypal site you can choose between having paypal take this from your checking account or the credit card. you shouldn't have to have money on deposit with paypal to pay for something.

You can even use your CC.

when you buy something on ebay you usually have 7 days to pay. So go ahead & buy if you need to, then transfer tomorrow for instance. It will take 2 days to transfer from your bank to paypal. Once it goes to paypal you can pay instantly.

As far as I know, the answer is No.
But your better off paying directly from Paypal that is jointed directly from your Bank account.

I believe PayPal charges the seller a small fee if the buyer uses a credit card.
They charge to use there service but a little more if its a credit card.

You can contact the seller and ask him to pay the item in 3 days. It should work.

I've never being charged neither by using a debit or credit card, and most importantly, I haven't been charged neither by paypal nor my banks, both of them based here in Costa Rica. I love this country.

Warning: PayPal will sometimes make it very hard to change the option of how you want the payment process. Make sure it is going to come from your checking, and not a credit card, if that's what you want. Make sure you look before you click.

You can buy using paypal at ebay even if your current paypal account balance is 0.
When you actually make a payment via paypal, you can choose CC or your bank account.
There is no fee to the buyer using CC. I've never transfered money into my paypal before ebay purchases.
