Saw odds being offered on this at some books. College teams, but NOT the NIT, and apparantly not sanctioned by the NCAA

College Basketball Invitational - tht seems to be what the letters mean.

A quick google didn't provide much info. But they do have some participants. Everyone wants to get into the act.

Apologies to anyone who may have previously posted something on this. I checked th current page and part of page 2 and saw nothing.

I made some nice cash tailing on some of the experts totals on the CBI today. Staying away from it tomorrow, since my spread picks were as useless as pair of on a canoe.

Yeah, I see they had a game today. And tomorrow, Wed, they're going up against the NIT opening round.

They got teams like Cincy, Utah, Utep, Valparaiso etc.

Yup, sure a lot of student-athletes being whored out to bring their schools a few more shekels.

It's more of a by-product of the NIT going from 48 to 32 teams this year.

As for betting it, I had an easy winner with Brown/Ohio Over and really see no reason not to bet it.

OK, I guess if it's there its bettable. I have enough with the NCAA and NIT. Haven't even finished, nowhere near, my 'cap for the NCAA. Postponing other biz I gotta take of tomorrow to wind up my first round figurin'

Will keep track of the numbers and results tho.

Same thing as the NIT, higher seeds get home court, until they get down to Four?

In the CBI, the higher seed is home until the finals. The finals are two out of three, with the higher seed home in Games 1 and 3 (if necessary) and the lower seed home for Game 2.
