I remember the day that JJ posted a video from a Glory Hole and you can see his shaft entering the wall. His video lasted about 1 minute on the forum and he yanked it. I was one of the few to see it. By far one of his funniest videos ever.
Some of your favorite memories of Forumville 2010??

#39If I recall correctly, someone was banned for using the word n i g g a r d l y, which by definition has nothing to do with race. The word was used in its proper context in a sentence. You pushed the ban button, John. Those shitstorm threads are all gone, let bygones be bygones.
Nothing personal, I agree. I wouldn't be here if I didn't enjoy it.
The house cleaning had been brewing and would have happened then or shortly there after on something probably as equally insignificant. Most of them were banned from all the major forums anyway. In Forumville it happens, some posters feel they are above the common poster and no rules apply to them. SBR put up with a lot but eventually guys have to be civil or go bye-bye. Nearly all that left over the prohibition of the N word did return, a few under new names so their buds wouldn't see them posting here which is pretty amusing.
All in all 2010 was the best year for SBR. Hopefully we can build on this year in 2011.Comment -

#41tThe points system is one of the most creative and most inter-active idea that was ever invented in this forum. I was active at other forums but when the point system was introduced it becomes a fun place to hang around while capping games.Comment -

#43My favorite moment was when I sang the blues to Mr Roberto Shortstop and him responding with compassion and good will. Roberto, your parents instilled nothing but good values in you, and it shows.
Second would be my starting a thread on Tues in which I suggested Providence plus 13 at Syracuse, (winner). I have never been terribly comfortable posting my plays, afriad that one of you high-rollin` motherfukkers might jump on board and change the outcome of my wager!
I`ve been more into adding color commentary, talking politics (done with that, one too many people that when they disagree with Ya feel the need to kick other men in the balls!!) and writing about music. I find a song that fits damn near every moment!
Thank you Good Men of SBR for the memories.Comment -

#44Best year yet in my five here. this place has evolved into more of an entertainment venue than anything else but that is okay, because it does a good job at it. I also like the freedom of speech here, which is becoming the downfall of another forum which will remain nameless.
The introduction of pro status was not only a great idea but is also the future of this business model in my opinion. eventually the non pro should be phased out altogether and there should be multiple levels of Pro.
and finally, like I say every year, another year without pags, gynecologist, and that whole gang of entitled mouthbreathing middleschoolers is always a good year! Those idiots about ran me off a couple years ago, I was a lurker then and just couldn't tolerate their inane bickering.Comment -

#45There are those rare times in Forumville a splinter group will begin to think and act as they are above every other poster and the management and no rules apply to them. In this case no one was to tell them what words they could say including the N word or any deviation thereof. Wrong. They had to follow the rules like everyone else or leave. Those that were chased claimed meltdown or as you just did with an age comment but for me it was nothing personal, it was only business.
Ahh Forumville... I love it.Comment -

#48I remember like it was 5 years ago. There was zero interest in this site. The IPO was a penny stock. Then a flurry of legit members joined and it took off. Now sbr on a nosedive again.Comment -
