Unfortunately, chaos theory prevents such a book from ever existing. Think about it. The book says Pats are going to beat the Colts 41-3. The info gets leaked and Pats players decide to party their asses off the night before the game since they're about to dominate, and Brady gets in a car crash and breaks his leg. Colts end up winning 30-10 instead. Changes the whole season, the super bowl winner, the draft order for next year, etc...setting off a ripple effect/chain reaction that changes everything in the book. To take it a step further, let's say the best highschool basketball recruit in the nation is watching that Pats/Colts game and is a huge Pats fan. When they lose, he smashes his hand through a window, severing a nerve in his arm and causing partial paralysis. As a result, he never goes to UNC to play, where he would have been the next Michael Jordan and left for the NBA after 2 years, taking the Grizzlies to the finals two years in a row. Again, the ripple effect and chain reaction throughout the league is immense...UNC doesn't make the tournament, Grizzlies finish last. Every other result of every other game is affected.

                  I like this thread!

I would assume that if Marty McFly actually brought it back, I think it would be confiscated by authorities and lock up in a certain place with about over 99 robbery attempts.....a day.

In an interesting "Back to the Future" tangent.

Would you consider the movie "Back to the Future" an oldie?

I ask because in the move Marty refers to the song Johnny B Goode as 'an oldie', at the time (1985) the song was 27 years old, BttF will be 26 years old this summer.

I was just thinking about this the other day because I was 9 years old when this movie came out and I have been fascinated with betting sports ever since!

This movie literally planted the seed as to why 20 years later I am at this forum everyday.

                                Funny how life works.

To answer the Q you seriously could not put a price on it. You would instantly be legendary in so many different categories on this earth. Sports players would be talking about you! Before the Superbowl you would have Tom Brady going up to Belichick and saying "Hey Bill we are pretty fuct today cuz Doug said we are going to lose!" And Bills reply would be "Ya I know! I heard about it 2 weeks ago and decided not to even game plan for this one!"

                                Great thread

You guys can not really be serious ?

No such thing could ever exist , keep dreaming little boys.

Hey Mr. No fun, No shit such a book could never exist. I think thats pretty obvious! Its just a great classic movie that has a sports betting twist in it that we are reminiscing on.

The book could never exist but the concept does. All Biff did was bet on winners and get rich. Even without such a book its possible to do what he did with the right edge, the right approach and the right bankroll. No dreaming needed.
