#87SBR Non-pros should get NO points.
If u cant deposit $200 into a book, then what are u doing in a gambling forum? And dont say "i play with a local crap". Fine, u can play with a local, throw 2bills into a sponsored book.
and dont say, "I dont want John to know about what/how much i bet" I doubt he gives a shit what u bet cuz u can deposit 2bills, go all in- play the other side with ur "local" and u did ur part.
Some also say "I dont want sbr to make money off my losses". ...Who gives a shit? When u have a problem with a book and want Justin7 or other sbr employees to help u get ur money, they do right? U dont think having employees cost money???Comment -

#95I would'nt take tacos advice on a USC ml, but this quote is dead on. I love when people say they don't want John to know what the bet. Honestly do you think John figures out your account number and then calls up the sportsbook and goes hey what has this account bet on the last five days?Originally posted by pacoSBR Non-pros should get NO points. #99horrible analogy. lots of us would have no problem depositing well over $200 into a book, but we choose not to. so what?Originally posted by pacoSBR Non-pros should get NO points.

some of us know that we don't do all that well betting sports, but we enjoy the debate and the discourse. maybe we might consider it if we could learn how to make money at this game.
but most of us don't make money at the game and a lot of members here are learning to handicap betting their points--and realizing that maybe they should hold off on betting serious money, because if they can't win betting points...
if the powers that be don't want the non-pros around (and that appears to be the case, especially when they thank all of the SBR Pros and as an afterthought thank everyone else), then close all of the non-pro accounts. then you and all of of the other pros can sit around and lick each others nuts all night long.Comment -

#101of course sbr makes money from non pros, sponsors pay sbr for banner space according to the amount of traffic, most of the traffic is generated by non pros obviously, and im pretty sure most of sbr income comes from selling banner spaceComment -

#102thanks for all the perks and hope for a good yearOriginally posted by SBR_JohnHow many of you guys remember the first days when we introduced the points program last year? Talk about some major nay sayers.
The Pro program also had its skeptics. But by the end of the year the program is a resounding success.
If you are not a Pro you might as well click that 'Become a Pro' button and join your 1200+ brothers and get in the party.

#103I think all the posters who post here should be appreciated. Maybe SBR_John can start another thread thanking the non-pros. There are some pretty good non-pros that contribute much more in terms of gambling knowledge than the Pros and we should all be thankful whether we like it or not.Originally posted by TakeIthorrible analogy. lots of us would have no problem depositing well over $200 into a book, but we choose not to. so what?

I wasn't gonna say anything but this thread is rather shady. Non-pros do contribute to the forum and I'm sure many non-pros have well over $200 in their accounts but choose for whatever reason not to become pro. Many of them are maybe depositing $50 or $100 in their accounts weekly(losing it all weekly as well
)..them types of gamblers are highly valuable to SBR..
Either keep giving non-pros 6 points a day or make the whole forum pro only, which may not be a bad move and would surely eliminate points fraud..Comment -
