Considering everybody wrote off Houston after they lost Yao I give the nod to the Rockets by the narrowest of margins.

The last 9-10 straight after they were sitting on a 12-game streak (something like that) when Yao went out makes me want to vote for the Rockets. If they can push it to 25, then I think there's no doubt since that would mean it would include wins over the Celtics and Hornets their next two games. But if I vote for Houston, then I'm a homer even though I really don't follow the NBA a bit.

And the one problem, the only problem, I have with Tiger's streak is that he hasn't played all the tournaments. Let the Rockets, or any other of the top 8-10 NBA teams, cherry pick which games they're going to play, take a break when they want to, and a long win streak wouldn't mean quite as much.

However, Tiger faces about 150 opponents in most tourneys. Both streaks are amazing but I'll give the edge to Tiger. The guy is in a class by himself.

No doubt, he was already at the top of his game when he started this run, only making him that much better. That's one problem, it's hard to even judge the next-best 25 golfers or so right now because he just beats all 150 of them so consistently.

The Rockets' streak, on the other hand, is not even going to be remembered the way things are now in sports history (unless they break the all-time mark) if they don't at least advance a couple of rounds in the playoffs now. Their season will be remembered as a choke if they fail early in the playoffs.
