Which "LT" would you rather start your team with?
    Taylor?
    Tomlinson?

Both dominant, very different personalities, much different off the field situations, different sides of the ball.

Easily Taylor. I like Tomlinson and all, but he's not the difference-maker the real LT was and he also plays at RB - a much easier position to fill/replace.

hard to pass on a guy like taylor, but its hard to want a guy with off the field issues like his.

tomlinson is called a rb, but he is also the best receiving RB in the higstory of the league. Not to mention the fact that he's probably got the teams best passer rating. lol

I'd take Taylor every day of the week. The guy had true heart.

Taylor - Team leader, but a mess off the field (but no one ever knew until he was done playing

Tomlinson - Always complaining wants to be a team leader and thinks he is but without Marty controlling the ship he was a mess - makes sure everyone knows what good he does off the field.

Parcells knew it and tried to help him every way he could. The guy revolutionized linebacking and pass rushing. He was also solid run defender and had a few picks, one of which he returned 90 something yards.

                  Taylor

In the list of best defensive players of all-time, Taylor makes this list, but, best offensive players all-time ... Tomlison is good, but he doesn't make that elite company.

Tomlinson = Top 5 rb all time!

                        Taylor.

I've always been biased towards defensive players.

No.... but if you can get a payton, sayers, brown, sanders, tomlinson type of rb I will always take the superior rb over the lb. just my opinion.

I was just saying that in comparing Taylor and Tomlinson, Taylor makes the all-time greatest defensive player list regardless of position, but on a similar offensive list, I don't see Tomilinson making that. Great RB? yes. Greatest offensive player ever? nope.

I agree, SG. Superior LBers are harder to come by.

Easy choice. I'd want Taylor being the anchor of my defense. Offense brings crowds, defense wins championships.

Taylor. I don't like a player who quits on his team.
