I don't root against ANYONE'S plays. Of course there are people that I feel are better cappers than others, and even then it often takes many games for the superior cappers to distinguish themselves.

I guess I just find it hard to root for someone to lose...it happens but honestly I don't like to see people lose. It brings me no pleasure at all.

I'll give a rare exception. If you see a pure degenerate who you know will piss it all away no matter what, it is sometimes in his own best interest to lose it all sooner rather than later (I'm sure this applies to many posters on here). There are some cappers that are so out of control, greedy, and/or self-destructive, that they can go 15-2 and still lose it all. These people are better off going bust-o a few times over as soon as possible in order to potentially move on with their lives...

I don't either, but I was simply making the statement that rooting for the books to go broke is silly and misguided. As well, 2 years ago Cascade might have been on the above list.

Granted their are a few people whom have pissed me off on here by rubbing in a loss or telling me I had the wrong side the whole time but I still don't wish for them to lose....I like the people on this site and would love for us all to win and the people outside of the site to fund the books....good call WSP

when someone comes across as a know-it-all and makes definitive statements like 'this team will win, this player will win, etc', i root against them, yes, otherwise, 90% of the time i am rooting for people because they are humble and likable

rooting against someone to lose, even if theyre not likable, is wrong, but once in a while, the loss will do them some good and teach them humility in betting, nothing worse for a bettor than overconfidence
