I've owned several Ford trucks, from Rangers to f-700's. the only way to go.

Rangers suck ! Couriers blow way harder ! I'd take the ancient 2000 F-150 4X4 over a Honda CR-V anyday in real snow. The CRV does have bigger tires....17" vs. 16" on the Ford F-150 as stock.

I would like to test them against each other, the truck should win very easily, IMO !

I'd take the truck out first in a Blizzard, if I needed to drive somewhere and get there.

No brainer the Honda CRV

My kid has a Accord with studs on all four wheels which he takes Skiing most every weekend and almost never has to put chains on.

I have a 4x4 PU and it's no bargain in the snow.

Interesting viewpoint....I was thinking the Ford truck ( or similar) should be better, in theory ?

Any data that says a CRV beats a 4X4 pickup truck ? I'd love a link.

Just personal experience driving both in lots of snow, the 4x4 is great if going in straight lines but different story if you have lots of hills, turns to navigate. The long wheel base, light rear end and high center of gravity is a big disadvantage in snow. I feel much more in control in the Honda in the snow than I do in my 4x4.

In a blizzard, front wheel drive over a 4x4 anyday. Though I will get you there in both either way, I am a driver.

I was thinking on the highway at highway speeds. In the city I would choose a 4x4, however, on the highway in a blizzard a front wheel drive anyday. I ain`t going to be able to pull you guys in your 4 x`s out of the ditch though! I live in the 'snowbelt' of NY state, I am experienced!
