I've been taking the younger/up and coming teams on Christmas day the past few years and been making out well. Even when they are on the road.
The way I see it, young players on the road don't have the distractions (or other priorities) on Christmas. I've got to think Kobe/Fisher/Odom are more concerned about watching their kids unwrap their presents than playing a ball game. Meanwhile the visiting team is sitting around the hotel with nothing to focus on but the game. Christmas is a bigger deal to family men anyway. Always has been. You put that together and I think the young bachelors are coming out ready to play with more enthusiasm than the vets who would just assume be at home with their families.No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.Comment -
The Lakers are still a good team. To me, it looks like Paul Gasol is in a slump. As long as he's playing poorly, the Lakers aren't gonna win many. Maybe Bynum is going to need to take over scoring the points in the paint and grabbing the rebounds. No rebound, no ring!Comment -
