EV means you are getting even money on what you bet. So if you pick say the Jets at EV then if you bet $100 you get $100 back

EV stands for expected value. If you make wagers that have positive expected value you will win over time. If you make wagers -EV you will lose over time.

For example, if the Lakers are favored by 3, but somehow you know that the most accurate line is Lakers by 1, you will make money by betting against the Lakers.

+EV is positive expected value. Meaning if you make that bet millions of times you're expected to come out ahead. It has a positive expected value, meaning it is a good bet.

If you don't know what +EV is...then you probably don't have any business betting real money.

I'd suggest doing a little more studying, and playing for points. Then when you get a little bit better handle on things, bet real money...
