My mortal lock today was the Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 and over 6.It's 5-1 Pittsburgh with a little time left in the 2nd period.I was going to do a 4 team parlay with -1.5 on the Sharks and over 5.That would have been the easier 2 of the 4 legs to win.A $20 bet would have paid $550.I bet the Lakers on the moneyline and over 197 in place of the Pittsburgh bets.

I did this not because I liked the Lakers better than the Penguins.I did it because I would have been too busy to watch the first 2 periods of the Penguins game on NBC and thought it would be more fun to watch the Lakers and Rockets later.Dumb, dumb, dumb!!!!!Does anyone else here do stuff like this where you know you have better betting choices and you sacrifice them in the name of picking a team to bet on that will be on tv later at a more convenient time for you to watch?

That's the ultimate form of being a recreational gambler.hehe!

Picking the Lakers was the point of my whole post.

There was sort of a limited schedule in the NHL today so besides another 4 leg NHL parlay I played and not going with the Penguins,I had to play 2 legs in an NBA game.I knew the game was on t.v.and wanted to spend a leisurely time watching a game so I stupidly picked the Lakers.Sure,Gasol is out but with Bryant, anything can happen and losing Ming hasn't hurt the Rockets yet. Then you just have to figure that Houston has to lose sooner or later, they are overdue. It's the nonsensuous picking red on roulette bet when black hit 14 times in a row.hehe!I think it gives a decent team the incentive to stop the record from going further when your team used to hold the record. As if players today play for past team pride and loyalty.Hell,Bryant probably doesn't even know or care that the record once belonged to the Lakers or that the team moved from Minneapolis to LA.hehe!

I do that sometimes as well. I do plays for enjoyment, rather than to earn a living off it. Mostly b/c I wouldn't be able to make a living off gambling if i tried
