Take a road trip from any destination or route in the country to Vegas and find a mom and pop motel owned by a person born in this country .It's not likely or maybe even humanly possible I don't think.Most are owned by people who just got over here from where the war is going on in Afghanistan and Pakistan and were poor when arriving here.I just have a hunch some skullduggery is going on where they get government loans and do no upkeep on the motels and cut and run leaving the tax payers and creditors holding the bag .It happened like that bigtime right down the street from me.You stay at these places because they are more affordable than the big chains.As soon as you get to them you realize they are on the dumpy side because half the neon and light bulbs are out on the signs in front.
