Why are these jerkoffs not being penalized for the bowl game? I don't get it. Fukking terrible.
Instead they are penalized for the easiest five games of their schedule.

NCAA rules might be out there but how do you not know the rules if you play D1. They can be mad about it but it is there own fault for not making sure it was legal. I mean the NCAA has been hitting schools left and right in the past couple of years. It is easy to sit back and say it is unfair just like it is unfair that you and I pay taxes and then illegals can live in this country and pay nothing but we still do because it is the law.

So, they have to sit out the first five games of OSU's usual cupcake pre Big Ten Schedule...
This is bovine scatology...

Its all politics and WHO finds out about it. The wrong people find out, you are screwed.
NCAA rules are all screwed up.
Its not like most of these kids go there to get an education. They take "Sports Administration" courses.
Usually, something like this gets spiked. If this happened to the Alabama players, no one would ever know.

Yeah.
According to FoxSports, Ohio State initially suspended them for the Sugar Bowl, but they were reinstated by the NCAA. It appears, at least on its face, that the University was ready to do the right thing. The $$$$$ at the NCAA wouldn't allow it.

Check out how much Pryor sold to get $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.....His BIG 10 Championship for four figures, another prestigious award for four digits that I can't recall, and his GOLDEN PANTS given to him by the Ohio St. University..I thought these guys got a lot of "dinero" beneath the table from the alumni etc.....Hell, I never sold my H.S. ring or COLL. ring till I was in my fifties...Of course that was to get $$$$$$$$$$ FOR "ACTION!"

not to mention they cheated the U of Miami out of a national title 8 years ago and are the victims of a blowout any time they play someone good in a BCS national title game

This rule is relatively new. How do I know? Because I am one of the few people on this board that looked at and signed NCAA rules back in the day. (It was D-III track and field, but the rules are the same for everyone!). This rule is new.
Anyway, I think that when they didn't come forward when the OSU AD and staff had mentioned this "new" thing, that just made it worse.
The NCAA money machine is a very corrupt and hypocritical organization, either way.

whenever a player is doing anything that has to do with payments, compensation, or recieving money you have to know it isn't going to be legal. These guys knew what they were doing and if they are that stupid they shouldn't even be allowed to step foot on a campus without a babysitter. I mean Newton almost got in trouble for something his dad was doing.

I agree 100%. A.J. Green of Georgia got suspended four games and it ruined Georgia's promising season. He was in violation of the same rule.

The NCAA is becoming more and more of a joke daily. First, the Newton decision which was all about money. Now the OSU decision, which is about money (as WB said).

Why can't you sell Items that belong to you? That's so dumb. Anyways Adams and Herron aren't a big deal, and Posey may go pro so he's a non factor. Pryor on the other hand was going to stay before this penalty, not sure if he will now, so really having him out is the only thing that will hurt. Regardless expect the Buckeyes to be 5-0.
Also, couldn't Pryor just join the basketball team and sit his suspension there?

They should sit out and hang out in Boulder with the University of Colorado Buffaloes because they aren't doing anything special on Jan. 1st either. I'll even drive down the mountains down 119 to visit them.
It's kind of sad when Folsom Field is more well known for the concert the Grateful Dead put on there than anything the Buffaloes have done.

My mother doesn't have a job so your 100% correct. She's already rich, she doesn't need a job.

Who both suck? Michigan state is very over rated, and top that off they travel to Columbus. Ohio State has 3 potential QB's that will out play MSU's. 2 of them being dual threats.
