    President Bush, NASCAR and Economy
"As we take decisive action, we will keep this in mind: When you are steering a car in a rough patch, one of the worst things you can do is overcorrect," the president said.

"That often results in losing control and can end up with the car in a ditch," Bush said. "Steering through a rough patch requires a steady hand on the wheel and your eyes up on the horizon. And that's exactly what we're going to do."
This is President's Bush plan to fix the Economy. Sometimes I am ashamed I am a Republican.

If Bush was smart he would realize that he makes himself sound stupid when using analogies.

        When politicians improvise.

When politicians don't have their handlers and speech writers around, politicians say some stuff subconsciously from their torid pasts when they use analogies.Bush in this instance had a flashback to when he was a drunkard and had to drive at .28 from the 3 am good old boys Texas oilmans club back home in a west Texas ice storm.

The best one of all time though was when Ted Kennedy spouted off from the hip this gem. Some bill was passed that didn't give enough money to fund some social program and Teddy said it was like trying to rescue a drowing person in 10 feet of water with a 6 foot pole.

I heard Ted Kennedy wanted a sitdown with Castro's brother that just took control of Cuba.Maybe he can drive the SS Oldsmobile there.

Mr. Bush, when you are driving a vehicle your eyes should not be on the horizon. They should be focusing on the vehicle directly in front of you and to incoming traffic. You are steering the economy to a head collision by focusing on the horizon which is hundreds of miles in front of you since the earth is round and not flat.

I can't believe this. A day after the famous "do not overcorrect the steering of your car speech" by President Bush the Fed lowers the interest rate by another .25 % point and prints more money to help the banks borrow more and don't collapse but does nothing for the people that are about to lose their houses to foreclosure due to falling prices.

Look for the dollar to trade 2 to 1 to Euro till the end of the year and $150 oil by 4th of July.
