Changes to the SBR point system: Effective Feb 15

On Feb 15th, 2011 there will be some changes made to the SBR points system

For Pro's
1) Store prices for both Pro and Non Pro's will increase by 8% across the board. There will be no other price adjustments until September 2011.

For Non Pro's ONLY
1) Transfers* will be limited to 2 points a day to other posters. They can be 2 points to one person or 1 point to two persons. Non Pro's will be able to transfer freely any amount within SBR to the casino, store, sportsbook, poker, ect.

2) Non Pro's will have a limited selection of store items available for purchase. New sportsbook accounts, signup bonuses, signup freeplays will be available along with some SBR logo merchandise. Sportsbook credits will only be applied when the the accounts are newly created. These will be the only items available for purchase from the SBR store for non Pro's.

(Pro's will not be affected by these changes)

*We realize this will cause some problems in the loaning and repaying of points to non-Pro's. As much notice as possible is being given.

The rule limiting transfers for non-Pro's is unfortunately necessary to reduce fraud within the point system.

Since alot of people say they only bet with locals, they don't have money deposited into the sponsored books.....This is the Sportsbook Review Forum, If you bet with locals, what are you doing here? We are not trying to stop the lending and repaying market. In fact, I think we all kind of enjoy it.

It's been a year+ and we need to make a couple of fundamental tweaks to keep the abusers from degrading the program.

i like the attempt, but it wont solve anything..nonpros with have half a brain can still cheat the system pretty easy.

I think there are some positives here but there should be a way for non-pros to transfer more than that. Maybe have them send in an ID or some kind of validation as to limit fraud. Everything else makes sense.
