Liking the over in the Beef "O" Brady's Bowl and other thoughts
Call me crazy, but I like the over in the next two bowl games.

However, I did buy them down by 5 points each and parlayed them. $25 to win $19

Boise St. is tempting even with the big negative number. Starting QB for Utah is out.

Like San Diego at -3 1/2. San Diego played some tough teams. They've got some talent. I'm not saying Navy sucks but Navy hasn't played anyone ranked. Aztecs are motivated for this game. I think they win by more than 7. I might not take the moneyline on this as is my norm and actually take San Diego minus the points.

Take Hawaii and the moneyline or buy it down to -3. Hawaii is essentially playing a home game here and their defense is ranked better (against better competition). Both teams can score with high average pts per game, however, always go with the better defense at home.

Once I see the lines I want post (theGreek will give two or three different spreads at varying returns the day of the games). I'll be putting my money where my mouth is (although only $25-$50 depending on my mood).

WTF, G? If you don't know, then look them up! No need to mention the teams if I'm not picking either one of them, only the over/under. If I'm picking a team, I'll name them as you can see by reading the full thread.

I didn't mention the team but I mentioned the bowl game then said the next two bowl games. If you can't figure these things out, you can go to ESPN.com and click on Bowls.

      JEEZ!

Chill guy, no need to freak out. I was kind of wondering the same thing. Usually the thread title indicates what your thread is going to be about.

Ok, I just re-read it and it is a bit confusing. I mention Beef "O" Grady bowl then start talking about other bowls. Sorry for the jumping on you G. My bad. I'll be more clear in future posts, that is of course only they hit and people seem to care.

So to be clear. I like the overs in the Beef and the Maaco bowls. Although now they are probably both over 50. (got the beef at 45 and the Maaco at 50; bought each down by five to 40 and 45 respectively).

The other musings are just on a few other upcoming bowls.

Good luck to all and slam the books.

Made the first two posts before my coffee this morning.

Take Southern Miss and Over - Teased.

Or Louisville and the Under - Teased.

I personally would go with Southern Miss ML and the Over(bought down a few).

almost never worth it to buy pts.
especially in cfb, even more so on totals

Thanks Philly. But this sucker is a winner.

I just hate losing so I'll buy an edge at the expense at profit. If I can return 30-50% 95% of the time I'll take that over returning 90-100% 50% of the time. Keep the win rate high, not the win amount. The power of compounding boys.

                      Here endeth the lesson.

For the record, I parlayed the over in the beef and the Maaco (both bought down 5 points) with a moneyline Boise (I also single bet each).
