Why do you think the line on the Minn/Bears game has dropped from Bears -9 to -6/6.5

Because more than a TD is too much to give up in the NFL
Because more than a TD is stupid to give up in a division game
Because more than a TD is insane to give up in the NFL in a division game in unfamiliar field conditions for both teams when the weather is fukin horrible
Because everyone just remembered that it doesnt matter who the QB is for Minny, Jay Cutler will most definitely be starting for da Bears

because the line was off at -9 and the market adjusted itself to the correct line it should have been at opening

It was never truly 9. Some books had juiced 9 to avoid teasers. It was more like 7.5/8. Line moved down today on the Favre news. That's pretty much it.

I live in MPLS and it is snowing like crazy! Traffic is at a standstill and visibilty is not good. The field is suspect and this is also a hugely bitter division rival. I think it should be at +7 which is where it stands right now. Vikes might be worth a look...........

I never saw the line at +9 on this game on my book (Bookmaker). They had it +7.5 vikes was the best I saw it.

I don't think Favre has anything to do with the line - I think it's strictly the weather. I don't care HOW much better one team is than the other if the field is a skating rink. Which Bears offensive players are so lethal that you can imagine them running away with this game? Hester? Knox? I don't think so; especially if people are slipping and sliding on the field and the ball's squirting out at any given time.

Bears are equally good in div road games, but I just dont trust Cutler. In this weather, I'll take the points. Its snowing like damnit & I dont see a lot of offense, id say there'll be as many defense TD's as offensive, but either way no way I'll give up a TD

the real line was never 9. You could've gotten +9 -130 but that's not a true line.

Pretty much has been 6.5-7.5 the entire time, except some books briefly went to 8.

As you can see, they were never really -9.

They put +9 on there heavily favored to avoid people being able to tease past the 3.

Notice how Pinnacle skipped past the 8 entirely.

If they didn't have to be concerned about teasers, Pinnacle never would've offered higher than 8.

It's one thing if a legitimate backup quarterback like Rex Grossman, Matt Flynn, etc. is playing, but we're talking about Joe Webb! And he's playing against one of the best defenses in the league, in the snow! This guy is a rookie from Alabama Birmingham who was drafted to play WR. Not to mention Minnesota has nothing to play for, while the Bears still need to win to secure a playoff spot. Chicago rolls.
